It’s been entirely far too long since we’ve posted and for that I apologize. In case you’ve wondered if we fell off the edge of the planet, we haven’t. I love reading other bloggers talk about their lives, but have seen the most fruit for our ministry come from just talking about Scripture. But since we’ve been away so long, it seems right to share a little bit of life from this side of the computer screen with you.
This last year, life was jammed with intensity. We had more loved ones pass away in a shorter period of time than we’d ever previously lived through. My very dear grandma was among those gathered to heaven’s gate. I also had a lot of personal health issues that really threw a monkey wrench into life. And we moved… again! That made ten residences in ten years. Then something totally unexpected and miraculous happened. After about eight years of wishing, waiting and trying, we got pregnant! We were so delightfully surprised! Then I was not-so-delightfully sick and the only thought running through my head was “Don’t throw up!” When it comes to writing to hopefully encourage other people, that string of words isn’t much use to anyone! So I thought, “Well, this will only last a few weeks and then I’ll get back to it.” Only to get slapped with a whopping case of the flu that has kept me down for most of this last month. I’ve never been so sick!
So, God willing, we’ll be back from now on 🙂 We’d cherish your prayers for a healthy baby. And we hope that any of our fellow “baby waiters” out there might be encouraged that the Lord has His perfect timing for all things. In light of my earlier health issues, I really didn’t expect we’d get pregnant on the heels of being not very well. It was a total surprise. He’s had us wait for many things in our marriage and whether your wait involves children or something else, the Lord has His eye on you and He has a good plan!
